Samoan Language week

Samoan Language Week

In Henderson class we have been learning about the Samoan culture. Miss Tau one of the teacher's at our school kindly gave us some Samoan items. The Samoan items were so special and neat. They were souvenirs. There was a Tapa cloth. A Tapa cloth is a mat that some people use to sit on and people also use them for wedding and funerals. There was also a Samoan war weapon that was carved with beautiful Samoan patterns. There was a fala too. A fala is mat and it has patterns on it like coconuts. I saw some numbers on it and I was wondering what they were for. It was so interesting to hear more about Samoa and hear some information.

Thank you for reading my writing and please look at more and comment!
